The Department of Homeland Security said that the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk has ‘redoubled’ its commitment to preserving American values and cracking down on illegal immigration. In its weekly update, DHS called Kirk a martyr for free speech, Christian faith, and patriotism, and vowed to intensify deportation efforts. Secretary Kristi Noem and Deputy Assistant Secretary Micah Bock tied the tragedy to border security, mass deportations, and national sovereignty.
