US President Donald Trump blamed Senate Democrats for the government shutdown, now in its 31st day. “The shutdown continues because the Democrats don’t know what they’re doing,” he said in Florida. Trump reiterated his willingness to meet with them but insisted they must reopen the government first: “Let them open the country, and we’ll meet quickly.”
